I have read around that the software for syncing a Galaxy phone can handle bringing in your iTunes library.

I understand that playlists will need to be remade and possibly have to re select the songs I do not want synced.

My question is do new songs get added to the Kies library?

I would suggest you avoid Kies altogether. It is perhaps one of the worst pieces of software ever (especially on mac).

You can use an app called iSyncr on your samsung phone, and a companion app on the PC or MAC and it will sync your iTunes library very easily and even over Wifi.

iSyncr is a great solution to iTunes syncing.
