Samsung M80D & iMac

Just bought two of these. One for an iMac 4k 2019 and one for an iMac M1.

I did buy new USB C cables (Anker 240W, USB 4 Data Cable, 40 Gbps).

I want the Macs to see the camera on the M80D. I thought that the new cable would work.

On the M1 iMac I plugged in a USB C to HDMI and now I can use the camera. So now it has two cables going to the M80D.

I thought the new USB C cable would be enough.

Just looking for something that I'm missing. Maybe a setting?

I have not tried to get the camera working on my iMac 4k 2019 yet......

The USB4 cable should work. You should be able to drive the display and use the SlimFit webcam. Make sure M80D external device settings is set to USB-C.

Still need both cables, not sure why.

So my wife complained of a laggy mouse and I noticed it too.

Unplugged the HDMI cable and just used the USB-C to USB-C, not both like above.

Mouse issue fixed, but no camera again....
