On a 2017 iMac running Ventura, I have several Samsung external drives (T5, T7) that I plug in as needed. Thinking it might be a good idea, I installed Samsung Magician. Now, whenever I attach one of their drives, it pops up and fills my 27" screen! I see it's a health checker, etc., but really don't see much value in it. Right now, it's running and refuses to quit after attaching a T7. It appears to be looking at the internal Apple SSD in the iMac!

Overall, I'm sorry I ever installed Magician. Can anyone argue in its favor?

I had to reinstall it for updating my T7 Shield firmware, other than that I have no use for it. It sucks that you have to enable kernel extensions for it to work as I don‘t trust any 3rd party app but I gave it a go anyway as it was Samsung software.
