I have a sale pending for this NOTE 2 for a good price the seller says it's a clean IMEI/ESN, is there anything I need to make sure of before purchasing? your help would be appreciated I've dealt with iPhones a lot but never a Samsung NOTE, could it be a knock off? replaced screen etc, anything I should look out for the guy is asking $350

If you have a chance to play with it - try to update the device from within JB. That at least will tell you if the device is modified as updates will be disabled if it is (granted, there are ways to reset these counters, but still)...

Yeah, $350 would be one heck of a deal. I just sold my Note 2 two days ago for $480 (and that was about $25-$50 below what I really wanted for it).

Turns out this is a REPLICA PHONE lol , didn't know they existed the seller admitted it was a replica oh well

Bingo. Too cheap. I put my Note 2 as a feeler up on CL. I'm getting $500 offers easily

- be suspicious and very cautious.

check the imei first. checkesnfree website lets you check.
$350 is really good price for n2. assuming its genuine. generally used units are around ~$500. if you can physically check it out, check out the settings, menus, imei and the back cover. most often you can just tell by having it in your hand..

Be careful, lots of Chinese clone Note 2's out there. You can tell right away by the model #. I had some douche pushing those on Craigslist in Chicago. He was totally faking them as real.

Sometimes u get lucky.

I was trying to sell my perfect Verizon htc 8x (it's hspa plus unlocked also) on Craigslist for $280. And out of the blue some girl texted me and ask me to do a swap for her mint verizon note 2 (also hspa unlocked)

I thought it was a joke.

I met up with her and everything checked out. Imei/ESN was clean. She gave me an incredible deal. I told her she could get more. But she wanted the HTC 8x and I had listed I had perfect condition 8x on Craigslist.

She just didn't like the note 2.

And to top to make it even better. I had won the 8x in eBay for only $240. So got a Note 2 for like $240 out of pocket.
