I have an old backup Note 9 that was given to me a few years ago. Went to update a few apps earlier today, popped out the S Pen (which I rarely use) - and noticed the issue.

Thought the pen was dying or the tip was bad, doesn't seem to be the case. The middle part of the screen simply won't "read" the pen anymore. Writing is extremely erratic also, it's now just a sloppy mess.

Looked this up, so far I keep seeing the problem for those asking with the same exact issue is "magnets, a magnetic case" - I don't have a magnetic case..Phone was rebooted, SPen reset. No screen protector.

Finger swiping in this area is fine, it's just this pen won't read it. It's just baffling.

Any ideas? Thanks!
