The first thing I do is add swiftkey and nova launcher (lets you customize the phone and sort of hide touchwiz). Popup SMS is really good for quick reply
Coldfustion has a superb video, I have copied a lot of the apps and things on to my Nexus 4, works and looks really well (IMHO) See what you think.

Right now I'm having issues, I tried updating the firmware, my internet went out while the phone was downloading, and now I'm in emergency recovery. I don't know if it's Mac or what, but it just stays at 0%.
Well, I knew switching phones would be a bad idea. I'm in VMWare and it doesn't even detect the phone in Kies.
