I was about to go to the checkout on Amazon when I started to have doubts again if I was buying the correct drive or not.

What I'm looking for is the Samsung 850 Pro SSD with 512 GB.
On Amazon it is labelled as "basic": http://www.amazon.de/Samsung-Basic-MZ-7KE512BW-interne-schwarz/dp/B00LF10KTO/ref=cm_cd_ql_qh_dp_t

When I searched for what this means, I've stumbled across a lot of forums where people where struggling whether they should get the Pro or the Basic version of the 840. I, however, am going for the 850, not the 840, so what does the "basic" mean it in the 850's case? It is already the "Pro" model. I don't get it.

I compared the number with Samsung's site, it is the same: MZ-7KE512BW

I just don't want to end up buying the wrong thing. Perhaps someone could clarify this. :) Thanks

It's simple: "Basic" means only SSD, no accesories. There's a Desktop Upgrade Kit as well, which contains SATA->USB adapter/cable, 2,5->3," adapter (does not fit Mac Pro), Samsung software disc (Win only) and "pad" which makes the SSD 9,5 mm high. All extras are useless for Macs, so get Basic.

Awesome! Thanks for the explanation, it makes sense now.

Well, then, back to the Amazon shopping cart I guess!
