I received this Samsung TV as a years of service award for my job Saturday. was excited to get it and hooked it up as a monitor for my 2012 Mini.

Aside from being picky about which HDMI cable it would work with, it setup relatively easy. Only problem that I am noticing is that the picture will get brighter and darker every few seconds on it's own. I can't find anything in the TVs settings to stop this.

Does anyone know what this is and how to stop it? Thanks

On my Samsung it is in Menu>System>Eco Solution>Eco Sensor. Turn that off and it will stop adjusting screen brightness. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, that's already off.

This is annoying so I put my original monitor back on. Thanks for the help.

Open up a new user account on macos an tell me if the tv still does it under that user account.

Sorry, what about the Energy Saver function? Is that off as well?

Yes, that was already off as well.

I disconnected the TV and went back to my old Samsung monitor. I don't have the patience to troubleshoot this tonight. Maybe another time. Thanks
