I think these are my favorite ultrabooks so far even if one of the systems isn't an ultrabook.

The successor to the original ultrabook (in my opinion) Samsung Series 9 has been unveiled with a new processor and a matte finish 1600x900 400 nit display (that alone makes it worth the price). Both of the units are small laptops with thin bezels like the Samsung Series 7 and Series 3 laptops so the 13 inch laptop is actually a 12.1 inch laptop and the 15 inch laptops is actually a 14 inch laptop. The design is all aluminum now instead of a plastic duralumin combo. the design is also generally more conservative looking and less flashy (minimalism ftw, dieter rams would be proud). Plus new processors and a full sd card reader. Best of all this machine only weighs 2.5 lbs!! Starts at 1400 dollars (expect the price to drop over the course of the year) so clearly a high end machine for professionals, however Samsung has the series 5 which starts 900 dollar machine labeled as an ultrabook. It has full connectivity like a 4 in 1 card reader, ethernet port, more USB ports and an optical drive in the 14 inch version. It is available in 13 and 14 inch versions. It is similar to series 9 but has an inferior screen, more connectivity, and heavier and thicker design. I think I will get the Series 5 ultrabook when it becomes available but of course their are so many other machines to choose from
