San Disk CF Reader

Recently upgraded to a new 21.5 inch imac.

Today i have beed trying to upload files to Aperture from my San Disk Compact Flash card reader which is connected through the USB port.

Trouble is, this piece of hardware is not showing up on the desktop or automatically downloading files straight into Aperture.

Has anyone else had this problem with an external card reader?

I had the same issue before but the card reader was apparently too old. I ended up just buying a FW one.
Sorry I am not much help.

I am here because I just upgraded to a MacBook Pro and my SanDisk is not showing up.
