Sanding Airpods to keep in ear better?

I have a pair of regular AirPods I never use because they wiggle out of my ears every 5 minutes. I just had the idea of lightly sanding the plastic to increase friction. Think it would work?

I just popped them in to drown out my noisy kid and man, I forgot how good they sound.

there was a thread here very early on that described how to cut some bandaid and fix it to the AirPods, been doing that for several years and it works, better than a "destructive" method you're describing imho ... do a search here for the full post
