Will Apple use the new Santa Rosa platform with merom when they are shipping?

Since Apple has not used any Centrino platforms, I highly doubt it, but it would be coooooool to get a MBP with Santa Rosa and Leopard. Performancewise it would most likely not make a noticeable difference, but that's not the important part!

Santa Rosa isn't even due until sometime in the first half of 2007, so... No.

But it just so happens that the first half of 2007 will also be Leopard time. My question still stands.

Well, they will be shipping Merom next month, but Santa Rosa around when Leopard comes out, if not a bit later. You can be sure they'll use Santa Rosa, but expect to wait until spring at the earliest.
