i ordered an acer 26" monitor from newegg.
they loaded it into Santa's sleigh (UPS) on 12/18 from TN. est. delivery 12/20
i skipped work wed. to receive my mb's new toy
didn't come
Santa's reindeer sent me email denoting "exception" (misrouted).
today the reindeer's website still show exception. it hasn't moved. still showing TN. no eta for delivery.
i called the reindeer company (UPS). they say it will have to be traced, and newegg will have to initiate the trace.
called newegg. they will put a trace on it. the girl says it's probably lost in transit (more than likely one of the reindeer has a new acer 26", or a forklift ran trough it).
the trace will take about 5 days, and then they will issue a refund or replacement, whichever i prefer.
The Grinch stole my MB's christmas.
My MB is mad at me!
I don't know who to be mad at.
If it arrives next week, i expect forklift blade holes through it, and will have to go through the RMA process.
I WANT TO HANG THE GRINCH BY HIS SHORTHAIRS!

typically the exception error doesn't change until i get my product, maybe your situation will be the same? I hope your present comes before your laptop decides to eat you in retribution...

Heh, I have a similar situation with gifts sent to my parents (including apparently one of the last iSights sold, so we can do video chat). UPS ground, sent on Monday, nominal arrival time would have been yesterday. However, my parents live in Colorado, where there was a blizzard on Wednesday. So the package has been listed as Exception due to weather, and while today it changed to Arrived at the facility in Denver, it's not been listed as going any further than that. Looks like it probably won't go out for delivery until Tuesday.

Ah well. There's still a chance that we might drive out there at the last minute, in which case we wouldn't arrive until Tuesday anyway. If that happens, I suppose the timing will be just fine. ;)

I can kinda relate. I ordered my new MacBook Monday afternoon and paid for the priority shipping upgrade, and it shipped the next day.

Oh, did I mention I live in Colorado?

Yep, the blizzard has my new MacBook who knows where with an estimated ETA of who knows when. Aghh!!

Worst $18 ever spent! ;)
