Sapphire 7970 (PC Version) In 2010 Mac Pro?

Sapphire HD 7970 has two 8-pin connections. The MacPro has two mini 6-pin connections. I see wires that have mini 6-pin on one end, and 8-pin on the other. I just don't know if the MacPro's power supply is strong enough.
