Sapphire Radeon NITRO R9 380X In Mid 2012 Mac Pro Running Windows 10 via Bootcamp

Hi,
The Radeon 5870 that came in my Mid 2012 Mac Pro is becoming outdated. I'm wondering if it's possible to upgrade the GPU to a Sapphire Radeon NITRO R9 380X. I'm mostly using the Mac Pro to play games in Windows 10 through Bootcamp, so if sacrificing macOS compatibility is necessary to receive the benefits of a Sapphire Radeon NITRO R9 380X, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
System specifications:
Two Intel Xeon E5645 @ 2.4GHz Turbo Boost to 2.6GHz
Each processor has 6 cores and 12 threads
48 gigs ECC DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 5870
Currently running to two 1080P Asus monitors
