Sapphire RX460 Nitro OC & Sierra

Hi guys, sorry if this question has already been asked, but I couldn't find any answer:
Is the Sapphire RX460 Nitro OC working OOB on Sierra?
I have found a used one and want to be sure before purchase...
BTW I've got a MP 3,1 with Sierra using dosdude1 patch...

Is there any benefit having this card (with 6 pin power) over the Gigabyte one without?
Is the Sapphire card able to handle more with the extra power connector.
I am considering one of these.

The GB one is not really overclocked, the Sapphire draws more on 6pin than on PCIe. As the cMP follows the specification very closely the slots deliver enough power so without OC the difference is negligible.

If you run it as sole GPU or have a 6pin free anyway go for one with power plug, makes more sense overall.

I think it depends on how you use it. If you choose the RX460 because of its OOTB cability, but not its power, and you have no plan to stress this card. I personally will choose the no aux power option.

1) I won't stress it, that means the card won't really draw max power. That means won't stress the slot power supply, so, the aux 6pin is not helping anything.

2) why go for an extra cable if there is a no cable solution (and everything within the official limit).

3) leave both mini 6pin free, just in case I want to install another more powerful card with the RX460 still there.

Just drive a display is an easy job, not matter is it 4k. Even a few yeas old GPU can do that easily. The GPU usually only stressed by running 3D stuff or doing compute job.

If you plan to leave the 5770 in there. Then you know what I mean, now you are limited to single 6pin or no 6pin option. You can't install a 8pin card or dual 6pin card because the 5770 already occupy a 6pin source (assume no extra PSU or Mod).

Therefore, if for any reason you may run the RX460 with another card later. You better go for the no aux power required one. In fact, unless there is evidence that the card will draw >75W from the slot. There is not much benefit to get a card that require 6pin input.
