I was wondering whether the iPod operating system (iPod Classic 160GB 7G) has a limitation for the number of tracks.
To my big surprise my old Apple TV didn't ..... even though the first gen Apple TV can only be bought in either a 40GB or a 160GB version, I have attached a 2TB disk which works smoothly.
My iPod I only use in my car and it is connected to the board computer (Audi MMI), so can be controlled via the car interface.
Now I am planning to adjust my iPod like I did with my Apple TV. As it is built into my car, I don't mind not being able to close the iPod anymore.
The larger HD I planned to connect by using either a ZIF-SATA or ZIF-USB adapter.
Will this work or can the ipod not read larger partitions as 240GB (mods to 240GB drives can apparently be done) or are there limitations on the number of tracks ?
