Question: I removed the Superdrive from my MacMini to install an SSD. Are both ports on the SATA connector the same speed; ie, will I get the same speed putting the SSD where the original HD was or Superdrive? I ask because I wasn't sure if the SATA port was as fast on the Superdrive side of the connector as where the HD was. Thanks!

Probably the same, but to make sure, you could go to System Profiler / System Report in your Utilities folder and go to Hardware > Serial ATA and see, what Link Speed is reported there for both ports.

Great suggestion..Basically says this for both HDs:

Link Speed: 3 Gigabit
Negotiated Link Speed: 1.5 Gigabit

So I'd guess they're the same..Funny, I saw another guy on a forum who said he had to put the SSD in the original HD space because it was slower - perhaps this was fixed with a software update
