Sata3 SSD in 2006 Mac Mini

I picked up a 2006 Mac Mini Core Solo for almost nothing tonight that I upgraded to a Core2duo T5600 and 2 gb of Ram from an old broken laptop. I am going to turn into an iTunes And Time Machine server using my Drobo. I have a sand force 2281 based SSD that I currently am not using and thought about throwing it in (partly for the SSD speed and partly because I worry the stock drive could die being 5 years old). Other than the loss of "top" speed will I have have compatibility issues?
