I am based in west of Ireland with no access to broadband. I run iMac with 10.2. Has anyone any experience of running skyDSL (http://www.teles-skydsl.com) on a Mac. Their cust service tell me it is not Mac compatible, but that may simply mean they do not support Mac.
Any other thoughts on satellite also welcome. My needs are email (occasionally 5-10 MB file attachments upload and download) and internet (download and surfing). I have no need for hosting or gaming.
Here's hoping.

But its different from other ISPs' because you need to make sure that you have a Mac driver for the DVB-S card (i think) that recieves the signal from the satellite. I would ask them what equipment was required for their service and search for driver's before using their service.

Very true. Or see if they have a modem that connects to a router. As long as you can connect via PPPoE or DHCP, then you should be aright. If they use some non-standard connection type, then you are out of luck.
