Is their anyway to deactivate the iPhone 4s v6.1.2 and use the factory IMEI unlock without losing the untethered jailbreak?

I have tried SAM and receive a hackativation failed error message when trying to deactivate.

You can deactivate your iDevice with redsn0w alternatively if the prior advice does not work. If I remember correctly this works even if you aren't jailbroken.

That should only work on A4 devices and the 3GS because of the Limera1n exploit, so not for a 4S.

SAM should work though.

The only thing you need to do is deactivate, don't use hacktivate.

Then connect to itunes and the unlock should auto attach and the phone will activate.
