saving a cookie when clearing history in Safari

Hello all,

I am helping a fellow with his Amazon Seller account which requires two step verification. He is not very
computer savvy so want to make it as easy for him to log in as possible.

My question: Is there a way to save the amazon two step verify login cookie when he clears his browsing history? Using OS 10.10.5 and Safari 10.1.2

I use this: https://cookie5app.com

It lets you whitelist cookies so that when the history is wiped, the whitelisted sites stay logged in. Works with Chrome and Firefox as well.

Edit: It doesn't work on macOS 10.10. :/ Is he stuck on 10.10 or does he not want to update?

If you're willing to hack around, then the SIMBL version of cookies (https://www.sweetpproductions.com/safaricookies/) will do that. I used to use it, but installing SIMBL and then cookies isn't the easiest thing to do.

Now that I'm on 10.14, one of the two reasons I gave up on Safari (the other being the way it reloads/refreshes the screen when swiping back in forums) is the dire cookie management. I've moved to Firefox which handles cookies just the way I want. Even better with Containers.

+1 for Cookie 5. Advanced mode is not too difficult to routinely delete tracking cookies, but still manage "needed" cookies (such as logons) by adding to whitelist or by favourite/bookmarked websites.
