I just made my first movie on imovie HD. Now for the DVD i'm about to make I would like the menu to have an audio clip that I am going to create in iMovie. Is there a way to save this audio clip to the desktop or wherever so I can add it to itunes as a stand alone audio file? thanks

figured that one out

okay so that was easy enough to click and drag audio clips to the desktop. what about if i have multiple audio clips in the audio bar and i want to combine them into one clip? is this possible in imovie or some other app in OSx.
thanks

Select the audio clips you want - if there's a gap between them, it will 'record' as no noise so you'll end up with the same timeframe as you have in iMovie.

Choose Share from the menu (make sure the 'only selected clips' is ticked)and get to Quicktime and choose Expert Settings. Then Share. You'll have the option to change if from Export 'Movie to .MOV' or whatever it says to Export 'Sound to AIFF' to keep the same quality.

You can convert it down later if you need to.

thanks!

worked great. speaking of converting it down, how do you do that to the sound file?

Bring it into iTunes. Then in iTunes go to Preferences>Advanced>Importing then choose the options you want for the exported file and click ok. Then select the song and go to Advanced>Convert Selection to ______ and it will convert it to whatever format you selected.
