saving files from wepages

this isn't yosemite specific, I have noticed this since I started using osx with Lion. when you want to download an image or any file from a website you can only save it to folder's you have favorited or recent places you cannot drill down to another folder.

Not sure what you mean. When you control-click on an image you have two options, "save image to Downloads" and "save image as...", which let you choose/create your destination folder.

exactly what I am doing. I can only choose recent or favorites or lets say its a folder in pictures, I select pictures but it will only save in pictures there is no way to drill down to another folder.


oh I figured it out. there is box after the filename , if it is pointed down, only favorites and recent places is listed. click it up and you get a full finder view.
