Hi! Sorry for all the questions - come with being a noob to MAC I suppose :D

If I run Windows 7 in Parallels in MAC OS (from Windows 7 installed on Bootcamp), is it possible that I can save the files to the MAC OS file system? The reason I want to do this is to EXCLUDE the VM file from being backed up by Time Machine (due to the size) but INCLUDE the files I am working on in Windows in the Time Machine backups (as they are then part of the MAC OS file system). This will be my backup strategy to keep the files I am working on in Windows safe and backed up.

OR I guess I can just manually copy files to an external HD for backup - was just hoping I can take advantage of the automated TM backups if possible.

Any pointers and advice from the MAC gurus around here will be greatly appreciated :D
