I had about 500 images scanned, but I can do better correction in Photos than they did with whatever they used. Only problem is that if I‘m on my iPad, there doesn’t seem to be a way to get the image directly into Photos. The save image option under share doesn’t work for that. I’m tired of exporting to Procreate, saving the image from there, and finally going back to Procreate to delete it. Am I missing something? Is there a way to do this directly besides having to go to my Mac?

I just tried the share button in the Files app and the Save Image option added it to Photos.

Photos app only support very limited number of file extensions: jpg, png, gif, bmp (iirc), no others. You can see if changing file extension could help.

I frequently have to change file extension so that I could save some images to photos app.

I don’t know about that. It also supports various raw formats, heic, tiff for example

I think that’s the issue - thanks. Now if files would show me the extensions … this has been a problem before.

Dunno why they do not support changing extension. There’s no harm can be done by merely changing the extension alone in iOS imo.

Third party file managers can do that easily.

The trouble with images is that you can’t just change the extension - you have literally change the format in an app. I don’t care if Files can’t change extensions - I just want to see them.

fyi - even though they call me a newbie, I’m not. They just messed up my access to my old user name so I had to invent another one.
