Saving Movies on Apple TV

I recently purchased a 1st gen. Apple TV. It was working great until I tried to custimize the syncing. Now my movies are only stored on my mini (swhich is running out of memory) and not on the ATV. So now all of my movies have to be streamed and it seems that my network is good enough for streaming movies. How can I get my movies to be saved back onto my ATV?

Syncing

I too have the original APPLE TV
and since the new one I have had many issues(Coincidence maybe? )
Anyhow I have had to resynce my movies and photoes more than once and it takes a day to do so......Using ethernet wire rather than wireless is somewhat faster.
Current issue for me is that I bought a movie on APPLE TV and it wont transfer to my iMac! Apple wouldnot help unless I paid $49.
