SBSettings date format; how to change?

Hey all,

Is there a way to change the date format as it shows on the status bar (accessible from one of the toggles). Right now it shows 24/7 (July 24 in D/M) format, but I'd like it to be M/D format (So, for today, 7/24) instead. I've seen lot of screenshots of that format before so I know it can be done... so how do I do it? Or do I have to do it from another add on app unrelated to SBSettings?

Settings --> general --> International ---> region format --> choose french then canada and it works.

Just tried that, and re-toggled the date option in sbsettings... and it doesn't work.
