Hey guys,

So the flash rom code that is utilized in the sbsettings free up memory action, what is that and what does it truly do?

As far as I'm concerned any memory it "recovers" is being leaked from inefficient coding of the programs you either have installed or are running in the background.

With that being said, why wouldn't that be a standard code to be run each and everytime you start an application to ensure maximal and optimal memory usage/availability?

Nobody?

Not sure as to how garbage collection is handled in ios (I'm guessing that's all it is), but as to your suggestion to run it every time an app starts - wouldn't it make you go insane if there was a 5 sec lag every time you opened an app while the garbage collection did it's thing?

No, it would be apart of each app loathing and startup... It's efficient
