scanner not workingin photoshop CS3

I have an HP 1510 all in one printer, well I'm trying to only use he scanner and I'm trying to scan some sketches and when I go to import my scanner is not there. Please help!!

If you already tried the latest drivers the next thing to check is if you scanner is currently supported. I point this out because I had a similar problem and found out that my scanner is not supported under Leopard.

Check the makers website or do a google search of the scanner model and os version you are using. You will probably find others who have similar problems and they may have a solution. Best of luck.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I have a HP Deskjet F380. The printer works just not the scanner. I've tried installing the software from the CD and downloading it from the HP website to no avail (the installer runs but the software doesn't install). I read CS3 doesn't support TWAIN. Is that right?

Oh and apparently it works with Leopard according to the HP "We're ready for Leopard" PDF.
