I have installed windows onto my MacBook a few times.
A couple times with BootCamp beta (while I had Tiger)
-The first time it worked fine, but the second time my hard drive crashed, and I suspect Windows of being the cause.
Another time I installed Windows through VMware Fusion, I didn't like its graphics so I uninstalled it.. I played around with VMware for a while, eventually realising that the newer versions had 3d acceleration enabled.
But after using VMware for a short time, my hard drive crashed again.. Again, I suspected Windows of being the cause.
This time after having my hard drive replaced, I also had Leopard installed.
Now I'm scared to use BootCamp, if I do I will be using a friends Windows XP installation disk as I'm afraid mine might be over used.
I don't think many people have had the same problem as me so weighing up the risk is hard. But should I go ahead and install Windows?
Is Leopard's BootCamp more reliable than the Beta or are they the same?
Are the specs in my 80gb White MacBook good enough to be able to play games such as The Sims2 through BootCamp?
Is my over-used installation cd most likely a cause for the crash?
I haven't yet bought an external large enough to use time machine. So if my MacBook crashes (which I may add is out of warranty now) I'll be pretty devastated, but I'm also eager to use Windows on my MacBook.
Help!
