Is there any application that will allow you to apply a schedule that will automatically turn off your ringer at 8am (when I get to work) and then back on again at 5pm when I leave?

I am lazy as heck and always forget to silence my ringer. Any app that can help me out? :)

No, any this is not possible using the SDK. Since the app would have to modify system settings.

That's a feature that I've wanted for over a year. In fact, I'd go even further and suggest that different settings should be grouped into "Profiles" (I'd create Loud, Silent and Normal, make up your own) and those individual profiles could be assigned activation times, or be manually activated. For example, Silent would last from 10pm to 8am so I don't get woken up by an errant call or email alert, Normal would be the rest of the time, and if I happen to be in a Loud environment I'll manually select Loud - which would stay that way until I changed it, or would automatically go to Silent at 10pm.

Of course, I don't think that's possible with a 3rd party apps - I don't think Apple's API allows access to those areas of the iPhone.
