Ever since iOS 11 Betas, the scheduled fetch and notification are not generated for the mails received in favorited folders.
Apple has made a complete mess out of the architecture of notifications for favorited mail folders.
I feel that if there are no notifications generated for the favorited mail folders, then there seems to be no purpose served by the existence of such favorite folders.
In such a situation there is no mechanism of getting alerts for any mail received in a folder other than Inbox.
