Which is better? Words with friends seems more popular so I've only tried it, not Scrabble. It's so damn addicting, i think i'll buy the paid version. Any differences between Scrabble and Words With Friends? Any preferences?

Thanks a lot!

I only have Scrabble but it's terrible. Simple words in the dictionary can't even be used!

Kinda hate that words with friends is not able to be played solo. So far, I have started two games and played one word in the last 5 hours. ANNOYING! If I am actually looking to play a game and waste 5-10 minutes, I don't want to spend the entire time hoping that the other person hurries up and plays their turn. There should really be a short time limit on turns, say around five minutes max. I'm thinking about getting scrabble. Maybe. If I can justify the price- there's a lot of bad reviews on it.

idk if this helps but you can hit the 'press and play button' and it'll set you up aganist 'player 2' and you can play back and forth by yourself.

OP scrabble has an option to play against a computer if that matters to you at all.

What do the different notifications do? Specifically what do badge notifications do vs. alerts? Are sounds just sounds that come on when someone makes a move?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Sounds plays a sound when the badge notification pops up, badges are the push type notifications that tell you who you have a move with and let you go to the app when u press "view". Alerts are just the numbers that appear on the app icon to tell u that u have a move. I had to play around with them to figure it out- didn't want it to keep playing the sounds.

There has been an app update on Dec. 15th that has ggreatly improved the game. I never loose a game and can have 50 playing at once, there is no EA title screen with sound that you cant shut off anymore, thats gone. So far so good ive been enjoying it alot. There was a word that teacher suggested and that was valid within its dictionary (mirriam webster) but when i looked it up in the Dictionary.com app is was not in there. It was a 110 point word too considering all the combo action that was with it. So i dunno, one word out of many many words that was iffy. I recomend it, and at the 99 cent steal for xmas you can go wrong.
