Hi all,

I have a 17inch macbok pro not even 3 months old, today with my finger I removed a bit of the dirt under the space bar, to my shock a piece of paint (or whatever its called) got removed with it...I was not applying any pressure what so ever...I am totally guttered...has anyone encountered this before? Will Apple replace it for me or will they fix it for me as it's not even 3 months old? If not, is there a way to fix it as it looks awfully ugly the way it looks now.

Here are 2 images (not sure how clear they are)

Thanks in advance for any help!

The paint flaking is a known issue. Search the forums about it, and/or just take it to an Apple store and complain.

BTW: Those pictures kinda suck.
