Scratched Screen

I am so mad, first the apple store guy tells me not to buy the screen protector because the glass won't scratch and says something about you can take your keys to it and it would be ok. So I keep my iphone in my front empty front pocket and it somehow develops these light scratches on the glass. I also have these gouges on the glass from god knows what. I have since purchased a screen protector, but is there anyway to fix the scratches? they drive me nuts when I look at the screen.

the optics should have some abrasive pastes able to eliminate scratches on watches, glasses and of course iPhones, or jewelry stores
you can always buy the glass on ebay,I think I saw one for 19$
the apple store guy was kinda right about the scratches,you can check some videos on youtube..look for "iphone scratch test"

A trick I heard of recently is to use toothpaste to remove small scratches from screens. Toothpaste has micro abrasives in it.

I would experiment on another piece of glass though before doing it to my iphone screen.

I would mention it at the Apple Store. The employee was not in any place to suggest that the screen would not scratch (obviously his claim was also incorrect). I don't know if the store would do anything about it, but the employee should not be making the claim to any future customers. If they stand the statement, get out your keys and ask to see an iPhone, iMac, or new MacBook .

I have been carrying my iPhone and iPod touch (one or the other) in my empty front pocket for the last few months (no protection on either screen) and have yet to find any scratches. Sometimes dirt can look like a scratch and can be rubbed off with a lens cleaner, some solution, and some elbow grease.
