Hey guys,
Tonight i used my laptop to play a gig and whilst i was doing so a metal candle holder fell from a shelf above and left a half nch long scratch on my display. it is fairly deep however the scratch is only noticable on light backgrounds.

I was wondering if there is a product that can fill in scratches or if i can repair it somehow. I know there is no point calling applecare so i haven't tried that.

Any sugestions would be cool.

Thanks

Ouch , sorry for your incident! If the scratch is deep, than you're unlikely to be able to fill in the scratch. I guess you'll just have to live with it or face a hefty cost of replacement screen. Sorry if I'm not of any help.

Perhaps you could try searching for some 3M's Scotch branded solvent, they usually have great stuff. ALso, I'm not sure if Apple places a glass or plastic cover over the LCD, maybe you could get off by just replacing that part which would be cheaper than the whole screen.

Good luck!

My recommendation is to leave it alone if you don't want to pay for a replacement. You're only likely to make things worse by trying to hide the scratch. Just be thankful it didn't crack the display. ;)

Thanks guys. I'm already staritng to get used to it so i think i'll just leave it alone and think of it as a battle scar.

Thanks again
