Can someone please figure out the total screen area (in square inches) of the 20", 21.5" and the 24" imac.

I understand that the aspect ratio has changed from 16:10 to 16:9, but I'm not sure how this affects the total amount of screen "real estate"

x^2 + y^2 = h^2

Want: xy

For 16:10

16x=10y
y = (16/10)x
xy = (16/10)x^2

h^2 = x^2 + y^2
h^2 = x^2 + (16/10x)^2
h^2 = x^2 + (256/100)x^2
h^2 = (356/100)x^2
x^2 = (100/356)h^2

xy = (160/356)h^2

xy(24) = ~258.88

For 16:9

xy = (324/801)h^2

xy(21.5) = ~186.98
xy(27) = ~294.88

Disclaimer. I did not check my work.
