Screen brightness adjusts itself after reboot. Why?

After every reboot, the brightness of my iMac's screen changes to 100% brightness, which is slightly annoying. Does anyone know why this happens? By the way, I'd say it does it since 10.5.8.

Try using the Color Tab in the display preferences pane to re-calibrate you're display. It may simply be that your colour profile has become corrupt and it's literally shoving all the settings on full on start up.

I tried that but to no avail. I guess I have to live with it and hope Snow Leopard won't have that problem. Thanks for your reply.

This has been brought up before. Don't have it all the way down or up and it will remember.
