Anyone having trouble with maintaining a stable screen brightness level? I have the 6s plus and in the previous versions of IOS 11 my screen constantly changed brightness. I can set it at a particular level, lock my phone then open it a few minutes later and it is at a different level. Sometimes when I slide up the control centre I can see the brightness level actually sliding up or down without me touching it. Sometimes it also changes while using the phone too.I thought after updating to IOS 12 it might be better but as yet -same issue. I can never get a stable constant level of brightness. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I experience changes in brightness despite having auto brightness disabled. I finally learned that there is a safety check per se where the screen will dim in incremental amounts based on how hot the phone gets. This may not be what the OP is experiencing but thought I’d share.

KrisseFI, thanks for the tip. Didn't even know that was an option. To think all this time a possible solution was as easy as a toggle! I always thought it was a defect / bug that would remain forever.
I have disabled the auto-brightness, so far all is good. Hope it continues.
Arizz44, never knew a safety check was performed, I am a novice with technology and software. Not really my thing. Makes sense though.
