Screen Burn

OLED displays have come a long way. Of all the experience that I have with reading on Samsungs OLED displays, user reviews and various tech sites, I might have maybe read one where somebody mentioned they had burn-in. It's fairly rare. Pixel shifting is a large part to help with dynamic shifting.
There are people who keep their phones LCD or AMOLED on 100% brightness all the time and never turn it down. Those are the ones who should expect some screen degradation and burn in no matter what. I recommend people use auto brightness the majority of the time and when you are watching movies and videos...go ahead and turn up your brightness to your desired level. This keeps your display running perfectly with no overall degradation.
I literally just posted a few days ago in the S8 thread.
My S8 has really bad burn-in thanks to using Google Maps, you can see the ghosting incredibly clearly. Really frustrating.
Samsung have told me to take it to a Warranty centre. Never had it on any other device.

Or seems to be a by case thing. I've had my S6 since right after it launched and I have no screen retention to speak of and I used the living crap out of that thing.
My S7 Edge had no issues.
It's currently in repair and ready to pick up, so let's see what they have done!
A Samsung warranty repair centre only 5 miles away and...
They replaced the screen, no charge!!
Really impressed.
I had burn on my S2 and Note 4.
I usually had my screen up full.
Opera's top and bottom bars were visible, Samsung replaced the Note 4 screen no questions and I didn't bother fixing the S2 as it was out of warranty and still sold even after the burn was pointed out.
I've had every S except the 6 and every Note from the 3 onwards and no other burn issues.
My Tab S 10.5 has no burn issues, that's an old device now.
I guess you don't want any high contrast constants on you screen at a high brightness.
I usually had my screen up full.
