Apologies, this does seem to be a common question, but as Apps develop and new ones are released, the old threads do seem to go out of date quickly.

I am looking for a Screen Capture App that will allow me take screen shots, pixelate particulate pieces of text, highlight and surround certain areas with boxes and arrows along with adding text etc.

I have no issue paying for the App, so would love to hear what you use and your experiences of the good and back.

Mmmm, didn't realise that could do as much as it does. Makes you wonder why any of these other Apps exist if the built in stuff works so well ;) Thanks :)

SnagIt has all the features that you want and many more. I have used it for years on Window machines at work. There is a version for Mac that looks rather good. However, i prefer to not spend additional money and just use the Mac's built in screen capture feature and then use the Mac's builtin Preview with edit turned on for the features that you asked for (use a shape to mask instead of pixilate). The Macintosh costs a lot of money, but then it comes with a lot of builtin features.
There are many tutorials for editing/annotation using Mac's Preview. Here is one on MacMost.
Saving Money is not a Crime.
