I have a late-2013 mbp purchased in Fall 2014. I've just noticed the screen coating is slowly wearing off in one corner. I know this was a known issue in the past, and Apple even offered free repairs to some customers. I wonder what my chances are for a free fix... Should I wait till it gets a bit worse (right now it's mostly on the bezel) and then try to talk to someone at an Apple store? Do I even have a chance considering I've been out of warranty for a while?

If it's the issue colloquially known as Staingate, this should be covered even if you're out of warranty. Personally I'd pop into an Apple Store sooner rather than later so you know if anything can be done.
