Screen expand button

Recently installed OSX 10.11, Captain and I no longer can use the control button and mouse to expand (enlarge temporarily, blow up...) an existing screen like I could do with the Snow Leopard.

Would really appreciate some help on how to with this new software which I am learning and seems to be a nice upgrade.

Are you talking about screen zoom?
Check the settings in: System Preferences, Accessibility, Zoom.

You'll want the modifier key to be 'control' and the zoom style as 'fullscreen'
