Hello,
Loving iOS don't misinterpret my post but when I was on android (shudder) I used an app every night call screen filter. It basically put a filter over the screen that was adjustable and allowed you to effectively mimic the brightness going even lower than default (only that it was just a dark film over the screen)
This then made night viewing far simpler without lighting up the entire room. It isn't restrictive in teens of use as it used to apply once the app was launched and you could adjust the opacity of the filter. I had a widget set to a default value that I would tap before launching Tapatalk for example.
I think there's an opportunity for a very good app and one that I definitely used a lot!
