Screen Flicker?

My screen flickers on my MacBook when I wake it from sleep, is this common? Or should I take it to my Apple Store?

How long does it flicker for? Are you running it at the native/maximum resolution?

mine does too. it seems normal...

It starts black then flicks white then back to black the comes one fine... it has always done this..

my wife just got her macbook two weeks ago. I noticed more recently that there are moments where it starts to flicker. It's not just when waking up from sleep.
The flickering is almost like the brightness of the screen goes back and forth from darker to brighter.
It happens more randomly and it's not frequent, but it does it for about 2-3 minutes and then it just stops doing it for the most of the day.

I'm noticing this on my Macbook also (white 2.0Ghz). But it normally only happens when the brightness is close to 100%. I'm going to call Applecare this afternoon and see what they say.

My boyfriend's macbook has also started doing this. I'm pretty worried about it since he practically owes everything on it. There are a few large threads on the apple support site. Hopefully it doesn't get worse and it ends up being a software things since he can't afford to be without a computer.
