It seemed to improve when I changed the color profile, but the problem is still present. :( When I visit some websites or watch some stuff, it happens depending on the background. I don't know what else to try.... has anyone managed to get rid of this issue? (for those who have/had it in first place)

What display? I have a cheap 24” LG 4K that I connect with DisplayPort through a USB-C dock (Caldigit SOHO) to my M1 MacBook Air and I haven’t had any problems. Someone reported on a different thread that they saw flickering but only in dark mode so I tried that and still no flickering.

Mine's an ASUS MC28U. It's not capable of UHD, but it's a decent 4K monitor. The interference pattern comes and goes, more so on dark mode, but I see it in normal mode too. Sometimes I might not see it for days, and then it's so annoying I shut my M1 MBA down and don't use it. The monitor has no problem with my Windows PC or my Intel Mac Mini.
