While using my MAC, the screen went dim slowly from top to bottom, and a message appeared saying:

You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button untilit turns off, then press the Power button again.

It was also repeated in four languages.

I am conserned that someone is trying take over my MAC. I have not turned it off but the screen is permanently there and I cannot move the cursor or put it to sleep using key strokes.

I need some advice please

Yep - no concern about hacking. If it happens frequently, could represent a hardware issue.
