I've been researching this idea I have for weeks now and just can't find the answer I'm looking for.
So here's what I'm doing, I don't want to buy a new Apple CarPlay enabled radio for my car at $500+. But I do want a way to screen mirror Waze to a larger screen. I also have an iPad mini which I don't use much. I have found many ways to mirror the iPhone to the Ipad via numerous apps, but ALL apps require they be on a WiFi connection -- this obviously won't work in my car.
So is there any way to screen mirror the iPhone to the iPad via Bluetooth or even a wired solution? Id prefer a wireless one since I do use the iPhone to play music via the port to the current radio, but ill deal with that later if need be.
Or maybe even create some sort of “hotspot” in the car which both devices could connect to via ApowerMirror. As far as I know it doesn’t need an actual internet connection to work, they just have to be on the same “network”. Am I correct with that? It’s a bit extreme of a solution for such a basic function, but maybe buy a $20 router and just have it in the car? Would that even work?
Thanks
