I'm running iOS 9.2 on a 6S+. There have been numerous times where I was using my device and then I placed it face down on the bed, table, etc. because I was finished. A bit later I would pick it up and the screen was still on and unlocked where I left it--sometimes 30 minutes or more. I do have autolock set for either 1 min or 30 seconds. It works fine when I leave it face up or some other angle. I was able to replicate the issue with my wife's 6S+ running 9.2. Is anyone else having this issue or encountered it previously? I've noticed it before updating to 9.2 so it's not simply because of 9.2. Thoughts?

I have a 6S+ on 9.2 (auto lock set for 1 min.), and my device locks, when face down.

I think I found the issue after playing around with it quite a bit. I use the sideloaded version of f.lux and it seems to be causing some sort of weird conflict with the power management system. If I place the phone face down above my head where I can see it, the screen would start to dim and then revert back to it's original brightness (sometimes multiple times) and never actually turn off or autolock. I removed f.lux and it works as expected now. I like f.lux but that's annoying and kills my battery quicker than I'd like.

FWIW--there's a great app I've been following on Github called Goodnight that has much of the same functionality and more. The authors have spent a lot of time and effort building out the functionality and maintaining the app. I have it installed and it works great in place of f.lux. You have to build it using Xcode and install it to your device.

It's a new feature of 9.2.
When you place your phone down, it will turn the screen off, and when you pick it up again, it will light up.
